Physical and Mental Health Committee

Physical and Mental Health Committee plans and implements programs that will enhance efforts aimed at leading the community to live a healthier lifestyle. In collaboration with other organizations, their mission is to develop various activities that will address the disparities in health and healthcare in the African American community.

 

 The Greater Cleveland Alumnae Chapter conducts the following programs under the Physical and Mental Health Thrust:

 

  • R.E.D. (Remember to Exercise Daily)

  • State Farm’s 50 Million Pounds Challenge

  • Volunteering with MedWish

 

Teen Mothers Committee

Plans and implements a program that gives support and assistance to teen-aged mothers. Through a collaborative relationship with Bellflower Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse, this committee strives to enhance and augment ongoing support services in the areas of education, child care, job seeking skills, and women’s health issues.
